Pagosa Springs flood recovery: U.S. 160 still closed, no federal aid (as of Nov 4-5)
The town's recovery page (newest entry seen Nov 5) said most mandatory evacuations were lifted Nov 3, orders remained on Hermosa and San Juan streets, sewer repairs continued, residents were asked to limit water use and avoid the San Juan River, and federal assistance had not been approved. CDOT's damage report says the Piedra River bridge piers collapsed and a temporary bridge is to be installed as soon as possible with no reopening date; coverage also reports U.S. 160 closed from mile marker 121 to 139. A Nov 7 search found nothing newer. Check cotrip.org for current status.
